This Refund & Returns Policy explains when you can return products purchased from YAKA.lv and how refunds are handled. This policy is written to align with consumer rights in the EU, including the right of withdrawal for distance sales, with important exceptions for food and hygiene-related goods.


1. Right of withdrawal (14 days)

If you are a consumer in the EU, you generally have the right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.

Important: This right does not apply to certain products we sell (see Section 2), especially most food items, perishable goods, and sealed items that are not suitable for return once opened.


2. Items that cannot be returned

For safety and hygiene reasons, we do not accept returns for:

  • Perishable goods (fresh or chilled products, items with short shelf life)
  • Food and beverages if the packaging has been opened, damaged after delivery, or not stored correctly
  • Sealed goods that are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed
  • Gift cards / digital vouchers (if applicable)
  • Any product that is returned in a condition that makes it unsellable

If you are unsure whether a product can be returned, contact us before sending anything back.


3. When we accept returns

We will accept a return (or offer a refund/replacement) if:

  • You received the wrong item
  • The item arrived damaged
  • The item is defective or not as described
  • The item is unopened, non-perishable, and eligible for withdrawal within 14 days

4. How to request a return or refund

  1. Email us at info@yaka.lv (or hello@stylaxis.com) with:
    • Your order number
    • Product name(s)
    • Reason for return/refund
    • Clear photos (required for damaged/incorrect items)
  2. We will reply with instructions and, if applicable, a return address or pickup information.

Time limits for reporting issues:
For damaged, missing, or wrong items, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery so we can resolve it quickly.


5. Return conditions

If your return is approved, these conditions apply:

  • Items must be returned unused and, where relevant, unopened
  • Items should be in the original packaging
  • Return the item within 14 days after your return is approved (unless we agree otherwise)

6. Return shipping costs

  • If the return is due to our error (wrong item, damaged on arrival, defective), we will cover the return cost or arrange replacement/pickup.
  • If you are returning an eligible item because you changed your mind (withdrawal), you are responsible for the return shipping cost.

7. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect the returned item (if a return is required), we will notify you of the decision. If approved, refunds are processed to the original payment method.

  • Refund timing: typically within 5–10 business days (depending on your bank/payment provider)
  • If only part of the order is refunded, we will clearly confirm which items are covered

Note: Delivery fees are usually non-refundable, unless the refund is due to our error or the entire order is cancelled before dispatch.


8. Order cancellation

If you need to cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible.

  • If the order has not been dispatched, we can usually cancel and refund it.
  • If the order has already been dispatched or delivered, cancellation becomes a return request and the rules above apply.
